The short version: Orbit does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. All game data stays on your device.
What data we collect
Orbit does not collect any personal data. We do not operate servers, analytics pipelines, or databases of user information.
The following data is stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to us:
- Game progress (stardust total, best distance, unlocked achievements)
- Settings preferences (Zen mode, sound)
- Daily challenge completion state
- Login streak count
This data is stored using iOS's standard local storage (UserDefaults) and remains entirely under your control. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Apple Game Center
Orbit uses Apple Game Center to display Daily Challenge leaderboards. When you complete the Daily Challenge, your score (completion time) is submitted to Apple's Game Center service.
We do not receive or store this data ourselves — it is handled entirely by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to any data processed through Game Center: apple.com/legal/privacy.
You can opt out of Game Center at any time by signing out of Game Center in your device's Settings. Opting out disables leaderboard submission only — the rest of the game is unaffected.
Advertising
Orbit does not display advertisements and does not use any advertising SDKs or tracking identifiers.
Analytics
Orbit does not use any analytics services. We do not track sessions, events, crashes (beyond what Apple provides to all developers via standard App Store reports), or any in-game behaviour.
Children's privacy
Orbit does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because we collect no personal data from any users, the game is safe for all ages. Leaderboard participation through Game Center is governed by Apple's Family Sharing and parental control features.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change our data practices — for example, by adding optional analytics or advertising — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. We will not retroactively change how previously collected data is handled.
